Town Council

Pittsfield is governed by a Town Council/Town Manager form of government as outlined in the Town Charter. The Town Council is comprised of 7 members consisting of a councilor from 4 districts and 3 At-Large members. Each January the Council elects a Mayor and a Deputy Mayor from amongst it's members.

The Town Council meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month at 6:30 PM in the Council Chambers on the first floor of the Town Office Building. The meetings are televised and can be viewed during the meetings and after here.

The Agenda for the meeting, and the Minutes after the meeting has been held, are available on the Events Calendar page for that meeting.

The public is encouraged to attend Town Council meetings to bring issues, to be part of the discussions, and to learn how their government functions.

The Town Manager is tasked with running the day to day operations of the town.
