Nitro Trailers, founded in 2013 by Pittsfield resident Chad Dow, is a local success story born from a passion for precision and craftsmanship. Chad's journey began in his youth, working on race cars at local stock car tracks, where he honed his skills in fabricating, welding, and finishing. These talents grew throughout his high school years, leading him to a position at a local manufacturing company, where he specialized in aluminum trailer welding. Over seven years, Chad advanced from entry-level to one of the top custom fabricator roles in a company of 140 employees, earning multiple perfect attendance awards and being named MVP in 2008. When the company closed in 2009, Chad channeled his expertise into his own venture, Innovative Specialties, focusing on custom aluminum fabrication, much of which was for trailers. Encouraged by the support of dealers, friends, family, and customers, Chad decided to expand his business, and Nitro Trailers was born. Starting with just one employee in a small three-bay garage, Nitro Trailers has grown significantly, now boasting over 10,000 trailers on the road. Nitro Trailers is proud to be part of the Pittsfield community, providing high-quality, customizable trailers that meet the diverse needs of our customers. We look forward to continuing to serve the area and beyond, adding more satisfied trailer owners to our family.
