Maine Chamber of Commerce Sole Proprietor Information

The Maine Chamber of Commerce presented information for sole proprietors that discussed the Payroll Protection Plan, Unemployment benefits for sole proprietors, various insurance issues and more. Check out the presentation below.

Key Points

1-Apply for the various programs even if you think that you may not qualify because most of these programs have never been presented before and the rules governing them may change as we travel through this pandemic.

2-If you qualify for more than one program, keep track of expenses from each program because how you spend the funds may impact the other programs. For example the PPP loan payback may be affected by unemployment insurance funding.

(These businesses range from a successful t-shirt making company to a startup that makes an innovative do-it-yourself wooden bicycle kit.)
